Project 52 {Floral}

One of the best parts of being a mom is seeing the world through their eyes.

Being a kid again.

Being free and happy and content.

Making a game out of running through a field of flowers.

And laughing and laughing and laughing.

Love them.

Now go take a look at the talented Marla Misclevitz of Simply Splendid Images in Portland, Oregon.

gorgeous setting of wildflowers & soft rolling hills; i’m drawn to images 1 & 2 for the contrast of experience & feeling.

Fun photos, thanks to Athena for sharing the link, you ladies have me thinking of flowers!

MarlaMay 16, 2012 - 3:48 pm

That is the most awesome field of flowers ever and your photos are gorgeous! I’m finding myself envious of people who post pictures in fields of beautiful flowers. We have grass. =) Anyway, love your post this week Sarah!

elaineMay 17, 2012 - 2:44 am

I need that field and not the bars and auto body places by my house! As always you inspire me. Love your work and your color this week.

What a beautiful field of flowers. The light is wonderful!

Project 52 {Home}

Home is really more of a feeling than a place.

It is where your heart lies…where you belong.

Cuddled up together, nothing better.

Home.

The feet are my fav!

The Fabulous H Fam! {Roseville Family Photographer}

What a fun family. They were not only open to my antics, they had fun doing it. And Mason was a dream. So sweet and easy going.  We met at the park, took a walk, played ‘Pooh Sticks’ (like in Winnie the Pooh!) and had a ball. At the end, we even got the family dogs in there. And I think he smiled at me…

Project 52 {Fruit}

“Are wild strawberries really wild? Will they scratch an adult, will they snap at a child? Should you pet them, or let them run free where they roam? Could they ever relax in a steam-heated home? Can they be trained to not growl at the guests? Will a litterbox work or would they make a mess? Can we make them a Cowberry, herding the cows, or maybe a Muleberry pulling the plows, or maybe a Huntberry chasing the grouse, or maybe a Watchberry guarding the house, and though they may curl up at your feet oh so sweetly can you ever feel that you trust them completely? Or should we make a pet out of something less scary, like the Domestic Prune or the Imported Cherry, Anyhow, you’ve been warned and I will not be blamed if your Wild Strawberries cannot be tamed.”

Shel Silverstein, Where the Sidewalk Ends

Project 52 {Nature}

 These are the memories he will take with him. Freedom. Nature under his feet and the wind in his hair.

We are lucky to be surrounded by beauty. Our own private sanctuary, right there on the hill out our door.
